There's a quotation about this from Grant in the old official fan-club biography. He said:

"I was a drummer who found himself playing the main Nickelodeon part in 'A Sailor's Night On The Town' on live TV, knowing that if I got lost during the playing of the part I'd never find my way back!"

I think I saw this on TV, I was 18 at the time and fascinated. It was so different from my usual fare of Wishbone Ash and the like. I loved it and have loved Sailor ever since.o:)
